This project served as a basis for my master's thesis. The system was developed with two of my former team mates (László Siroki and Attila Geresdi) from the Hungarian Physics Olympiad Team (IPhO, Bali, Indonesia, 2002) .
The project was awarded 1st prize at the Scientific Conference of Students at my university (BUTE) in November, 2006 and in the national round (Miskolc, Hungary) in April, 2007.
In my master's thesis I presented a more effective algorithm to find the rover and to determine its orientation in noisy pictures and also implemented it. That method was based on the detection of a semicircle.

The avi videos were made by a webcam thus you need indeo codec to play them. If you can't play them please try the mpegs.
Setting a path for the rover to follow on the GUI:
Following the path in the real world:
We can watch both the rover in the real world and its representation in the software's model world following the path:
Some comments:
Since determining the position and the orientation of the rover (using the webcamera's pictures) takes up some time, we can observe that the state of the rover present in the software's model world is delayed with 1- 200 ms. Thus, at the end of the video the vehicle stops earlier in the real world than in the model world.

It was one of my smaller projects. Of course using the hearing test applet alone one cannot determine any hearing problems. But if we use it with someone, we can compare our hearing thresholds, so if one of the users is a healthy person we can use him as a reference and a significant difference from his results can mean hearing damage.
It was also a small project. I did it mainly to learn some of the basic design patterns, so the algorithms in the software require some optimization.
