IEEE Selects Ipek Paper as a Top Pick in Computer Architecture

November 2, 2009

IEEE recently selected an ISCA '09 paper written by Engin Ipek with colleagues at Microsoft Research as "one of the 12 most significant computer architecture papers of 2009 based on novelty and long-term impact." Each year, the IEEE publishes its ``Micro's Top Picks from the Computer Architecture Conferences'' as its January/February 2010 issue; the selection is made by a committee of senior architects.

Here is a citation to the paper: Architecting Phase-Change Memory as a Scalable DRAM Alternative B. Lee, E. Ipek, O. Mutlu, D. Burger. ISCA'09: Intl. Symp. on Computer Architecture, Austin, TX, June 2009.
