Workshop Description:

These workshops will begin this week, Monday 9/15. The structure of 173 workshop is very different than that of 171/172. Instead of a problem set to complete as a group, we will be more focused on your (theory-based) questions and a few example problems that the workshop leaders (Dmitri and myself) will present. These can be related to homework assignments, but we will not be solving any of your homework problems in workshop. You will not be assigned to a particular workshop; however, we do ask that you be as consistent as possible in the one you choose to attend so we don't keep changing the group dynamics.

These workshops, while not mandatory, are VERY important. They really cemented my understanding of the material when I took this course, and almost everyone I have talked to has claimed that workshops are the main reason they survived this class.

If you absolutely cannot make any of these times and would like to attend workshop regularly, please email me (rgalasso@u.rochester.edu), and I will see what we can work out.
